The practice of massage therapy is the assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders of the soft tissues and joints by manual and physical methods to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function to relieve pain and promote health.
It is widely understood that massage therapy decreases stress and helps control pain. Perhaps less known is the effectiveness of massage therapy in treating deeper structures of the body such as ligaments, bones and joints, fascia, blood vessels, organs and other soft tissues of the body. Massage therapy can provide relief for many common conditions.
Massage therapy in BC has been a regulated health care profession since 1946 and is legislated by the government under the BC Health Professions Act.

I have proudly been a registered massage therapist since 2010 when I graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC. Since then I have jumped in with with both feet (or rather both hands) into the amazing realm that is massage therapy.

As every therapist has their own way to work on and address the body (no two of us are the same) I have carved out my own unique approach to helping guide the body to heal, move and embrace its path to wellness.

I have been extremely lucky to live, work and raise my family in the the beautiful Shuswap area for over 30 years and hope to be able to do so for many more.
